About Us
Who We Are
The TechrangersSM is a team of students of varied backgrounds and majors at Course Development and Web Services who do course development and web/application development for the University of Central Florida (UCF). In addition, they provide technical support for UCF students for Webcourses@UCF, eCommunity, ePortfolio@UCF, the “Online Course Tools” tab in myUCF, myUCF Grades and Gameserv. The TechrangersSM act as student advocates and leaders by holding community workshops, participating in panels and presenting at conventions.

Our Mission
The Techrangers team mission is to collectively enhance the online learning experience through our own education and to obtain a competitive advantage in this technological age.
Our Goals
- Learn from, collaborate and educate each other and a supportive team environment.
- Create and maintain quality online course content documents for the university.
- Uphold accessibility and web standard compliance in all projects produced.
- Provide quality technical support for students.
- Act as student advocates/leaders for the UCF student body.
- Network with businesses and community members to foster job opportunities.
- Research software, technology, and programming languages and develop as professionals.
The Ideal Techranger Should…
- Possess the desire and capacity to learn and apply new things.
- Be able to effectively give and receive constructive criticism.
- Have experience with the creation and editing of valid XHTML or have advanced HTML knowledge.
- Be able to work in a team oriented environment.
- Have patience and be thorough in their work.
- Possess the skills, personality and patience necessary to provide technical support for a variety of systems.
- Be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Possess the ability to efficiently troubleshoot problems.
- Have a sense of humor.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.
- Be detail orientated and able to catch small errors, while keeping the larger picture in mind.
